Chapter 1. “OH, look!” Fielding said. “They have a new latte flavor—’Santa’s Death by Peppermint.’ I’m getting that.” It was the second of December and we were. He went into the guest room and came back with a present. It was wrapped in red foil, and it looked like a shirt box. “You don’t wanna wait ’til morning?” I asked. Blame It on the Mistletoe (Unabridged)

Once upon a time, in an alleyway in the slums of the City of Lockes, a young and somewhat lonely boy named Sam Haversford turns a group of teenage douchebags into stone completely by accident. Of course, this catches the attention of a higher power, and Sam’s pulled from the only world he knows to become an apprentice to the king’s wizard, Morgan of Shadows.

Sloane loves a good mystery. He grew up as the son of two psychiatrists, so he finds most people tediously easy to figure out. He finds his way to Pennsylvania State University, longing for a rural experience, and ends up being lured into joining a frat by Micah Springfield, the hippest guy on campus. After all, his life has been a string of the unexplainable.

But when an injured man gives him cryptic clues, then turns to dust in front of him, Alec’s view on weird is changed forever. Cronin, a vampire Elder, has spent the last 1, years waiting for Alec. He’d been told his fated one would be a man wielding a shield, but he didn’t expect him to be human, and he certainly didn’t expect that shield to be a police badge.

These traits serve him well with his hotshot partner, Ian Doyle, the kind of guy who can start a fight in an empty room. In the past three years of their life-and-death job, they’ve gone from strangers to professional coworkers to devoted teammates and best friends. Moving ut a Texas ranch to an Australian Outback station was a life-changing decision for Travis Craig.

Something in his bones told him to go, though he had no clue as to why. The man was stubborn and riddled with crippling self-doubt.

Yet somehow, falling in love with Charlie was the easiest thing in the world. It’s not easy for a young gay artist like Jordan Carson to grow eki in Jefferson, Wisconsin, where all anyone seems to care about in middle school and high school are the bpame teams.

But Jordan was lucky. Owen is a big, beautiful blond and their school’s champion wrestler.

Blame It on the Mistletoe : Chapter 10

No one messes with Owen, or with anyone close to him, and he bucks popular opinion by keeping Jordan as his wingman even after Jordan comes out at school. When my ex walks into the resort bar with his new husband on his arm, I want nothing more than to prove to him that I’ve moved on. Thankfully, the sexy stranger sitting next to me is more than willing to share a few kisses in the name of revenge.

It gets even better when those scorching kisses turn into a night of fiery passion. Turns out elli stranger’s brother is marrying my sister later this week. Jay is vivacious and unabashedly gay – from the tips of his bleached hair to the ends of his polished nails.

With a flair for fashion, overreaction, and an inability to cork his verbal diarrhea, drama queen Jay must have a screw loose. Davo’s a pretty average guy. He has a decent job, owns his own home, and spends his weekends at the pub. He fully accepts that he’s gay, but doesn’t want to be one of those gays who are girly. He likes football and other masculine oon, and firmly avoids anything that could be mistldtoe as femme – including relationships that last beyond 15 minutes.

Then Davo’s friend and gay idol not only gets a boyfriend, but also adopts a baby girl. Davo is seriously spooked and scuttles down to the pub.

Or at least in San Francisco, where Weber stops to see him one last time before settling down to the humble, lonely life he figures a frog like him has coming.

Matt Sullivan understands labels: One fateful night, Matt tags along with his gay roommate to a dance club and everything changes. Matt finds himself attracted to the most beautiful man he’s ever seen. All labels go flying out the window. Israel Ingham’s life has never been easy. He grew up in a house devoid of love and warmth. Nothing he ever did was good enough.

The fact that Israel is gay just added to the long list of his father’s disappointments. Then a letter from Eastport Children’s Hospital changes everything. A discovery is made, one of gross human error.

Twenty-six years ago, two baby boys were switched at birth and sent home with the wrong families. When physics grad student Fielding Monroe and skirt-chaser and football player Mick Colman become college housemates, they’re both in for a whole new education.

Mick looks out for the absent-minded genius, and he helps Fielding clean up his appearance and discover all the silly pleasures his strict upbringing as a child prodigy denied him. They become best friends. It’s all well and good until they run into a cheerleader who calls Mick the “best kisser on campus”. Fielding has never been kissed, and he decides Mick and only Mick can teach him how it’s done. After all, the physics department’s Christmas party is coming up with its dreaded mistletoe.

Fielding wants to impress his peers and look cool for once in his life. The thing about Fielding is, once he locks onto an idea, it’s almost impossible to get him to change his mind. And he just doesn’t understand why his straight best friend would have a problem providing a little demonstration.

Mick knows kissing is a dangerous game.

If he gives in, it would take a miracle for the thing not to turn into a disaster. Then again, if the kissing lessons get out of hand, they can always blame it on the mistletoe. Would you listen to Blame It on the Mistletoe again? The story was cute and sweet. Although the storyline was good, words alone could not create such an emotional reaction in me. Jason took this book from a single sense experience hearing and turned it into a multiple FIVE sense experience Sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch.

Who would not want to experience that multiple times?? So YES I have already listened to this again and will listen to it again and again and again!!! What was one of the most memorable moments of Blame It on the Mistletoe? Also anytime Mick thought of Fielding because Jason did this thing with his voice that could melt icebergs Several times I found myself turning up the air conditioning in my car!

Which scene was your favorite? Definitely the First Kiss. The way Jason turned words on paper into actual butterflies in my stomach was mind blowing! If you could rename Blame It on the Mistletoe, what would you call it? Kiss Me, Just Once Jason did this constantly throughout the book and it made listening to the book a “whole body experience”.

It sounded like multiple people were used to narrate this book. Each voice was unique to their character and it did NOT sound like one person trying to do many voices unfortunately many audiobooks sound like that. This book was such a pleasure to hear that I will buy anything Jason narrates even if it is a math text book!

Based on sheer passionate narration 1. Who was your favorite character and why? Fielding in terms of his character, MIck in terms of his passion. The man’s voice turned me into pudding! Trust me you want some alone time when you listen to the kiss scenes Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you? Jason Frazier just hit this out of the ballpark. He was invested, he got it, he added charm and passion to the story and just made it so REAL.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? It is sweet and sexy! And has many touching moments! Definitely the first kiss Jason Frazier brings the main characters to life! He makes you feel like you know Fielding Monroe and Mick Colman. His voice inflection lets you know exactly how Mick and Fielding are feeling about each other!

Oh Ioved every moment in this book, but when Mick came after Fielding at his Christmas party, that pretty much did it for me! Since listening to this book, I have purchased every narration Jason Frazier has done for Audible Nerdy boy gets beautiful jock boyfriend, but with substance.

What other book might you compare Blame It on the Mistletoe to and why? Any Eli Easton book, Superhero. How does this one compare? No, great voices, great entertainment! More like Tristan James or Finn Sterling. I would not rename it, perfect name.

Also — Christmas stories. And even post-retail me is okay with that.
